Collingdale police reports: 2 caught stealing from Wawa 20 minutes apart

Police responded to the Wawa, 910 MacDade Blvd., at 9:26 a.m. for a retail theft. Employees reported a male wearing all black clothing, a baseball hat, and white shoes stole candy, drinks, and pre-made coffee drinks last seen walking towards Clifton Avenue. A male matching the description was stopped and was observed to be in possession of an open tote bag containing a large quantity of Red Bull beverage cans and a Wawa breakfast sandwich. James Handy III, 50, admitted to removing the Red Bull and the breakfast sandwich without paying. Handy was arraigned by the on-call district judge and committed to Delaware County prison after being unable to post $10,000 bail
