- Alpine identified a driveline problem that prevented Colapinto from engaging first gear during his Q1 run, ending his session prematurely.
- The team replaced Colapinto’s gearbox with the same specification part, allowing him to avoid a pit lane start despite being pushed to 19th before climbing to 18th.
- Colapinto said, "I release fully the clutch, and I'm still in neutral," and noted the car had good pace before the issue halted his progress.
- Alpine will evaluate Colapinto’s performance throughout the season, with team principal Flavio Briatore emphasizing that only results will determine his future.
