Col. Charles “Tom” McManamay, U.S. Army (retired), of Princeton, Kentucky, died peacefully surrounded by his family on June 19, 2026, following a short battle with mesothelioma. He was born on July 13, 1936, in Beckley, West Virginia, the eldest son of Lura and Frank McManamay. After he retired from the military, Tom made his home in Western Kentucky with his wife of 28 years, Patsy (Conger) Griffith, who survives him. He and Patsy were members …
