The video showing Patrick Cohen and Thomas Legrand drinking coffee with two PS leaders was controversial.
On Friday 12 September, the ethics committee of France Télévisions found that journalist Patrick Cohen had committed no fault in the controversial video sequence involving his colleague Thomas Legrand and the PS officials.
On this video filmed in July in a restaurant, Patrick Cohen "guards the silence, without further enlightening this sequence, which is truncated and mounted", notes the instance.
Without speaking on the substance of the remarks, the ethics committee of France Télévisions notes that the columnist "maintains silence" in the video sequence which shows him in the presence of two leaders of the Socialist Party and his colleague Thomas Legrand.
