The Greens have submitted, CSU and Free Voters are now following suit. Community, cities and counties should be able to circumvent national law in the future. However, the government coalition wants to create model regions first.
With a new law, the Bavarian state government wants to speed up the reduction of bureaucracy and allow municipalities to make extensive exceptions to existing regulations – for example with regard to building standards.
The coalition plans for a drastic reduction of bureaucracy in selected Bavarian municipalities are taking shape: A law on the establishment of model regions, in which regulations can be relaxed or completely suspended, is to be discussed quickly in the Landtag according to the wishes of CSU and Free Voters and enter into force in mid-May.
