Ather Energy expects its new Konarc electric scooter to deliver higher gross margins than the Rizta within a year, CEO Tarun Mehta told ET. Built on a lower-cost platform, the Konarc will target mass-market buyers. Ather plans to expand production capacity while improving profitability and expects its new plant to add capacity from January.

Ather has launched the Konarc at ₹99,999, with four S variants offering 100-200 km of claimed range. The new electric scooter also gets AeBS braking tech and a 450V onboard charger.
