Donald Trump wants to meet with Vladimir Putin “as soon as possible, when it becomes possible,” US Secretary of State Marco Rubio told CBS News. According to Rubio, a direct conversation between Trump and Putin could help overcome obstacles to ending the war in Ukraine, and the US president “has already openly expressed his desire and belief that this should be done.” Rubio noted that Trump “has already made that offer publicly.”
