CJ Cheiljedang, a major Korean food company, said Thursday it will lower prices of its flour products for both business-to-business (B2B) and retail consumers by an additional five percent on average.
The government's pressure to stabilize prices is spreading beyond the sugar and flour industries to the bakery industry. While CJ CheilJedang decided to further reduce flour prices, bakery franchises are also lowering their bread prices. Lower raw material prices are driving down the final consumer price.
