The government wants to reopen the civil servant's salary for 2026. Otherwise, the neos warn, there will be 2027 and 2028 zero-wage rounds.
The salary certificate for the officials is being renegotiated. Government and trade unions meet on Tuesday for a first official round of talks. It is already known that an increase over inflation is likely to be off the table in 2025 – in return, the officials could avoid zero wage rounds in 2027 and 2028.
The civil servants' salary for the coming year is being tightened up. This has been more or less fixed since this week. What the details look like is to be discussed on Tuesday in a first round of negotiations between the government and the trade union. A quick conclusion of the talks is considered probable. In principle, the officials will not get an increase over inflation next year, but save themselves a zero wage round 2027 and 2028.
