LOWELL — Bridgewater State Hospital is advocating for the civil commitment of the Billerica man who was acquitted last month of his grandmother’s murder on grounds of insanity. Last month, a Middlesex Superior Court jury declared James Forsythe bore no responsibility for the killing of 69-year-old Ellen Scaringi, attributing the crime to mental illness.
