WAVELAND, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Waveland is taking steps that could eventually save residents money on flood insurance. For the past three years, the city has been working to improve its rating in FEMA’s community rating system. A better rating means lower flood insurance premiums for property owners insured through the National Flood Insurance Program.
