Chris Gotterup wins Phoenix Open playoff. Patrick Reed takes Qatar Masters

On Friday, Ryo Hisatsune chipped in for birdie after a water ball and shot a bogey-free 63 to lead at the Phoenix Open.
Earlier Friday, Matsuyama produced a strong Round 2 and had earlier set a mark that Hisatsune later overtook, with Matsuyama saying `It was a great day` through a translator.
Scheffler said `I felt like I was really close to doing something special` after nearly missing the weekend with a 2-over 73, then bouncing back with a 65.
Hisatsune's surge with a 63 moved him into the second-round lead, creating a crowded leaderboard and setting up intrigue for the third round at TPC Scottsdale.
Because the second round was suspended by darkness, unfinished play moved to the next morning and Round 3 will broadcast nationally on Golf Channel before switching to CBS.
