On the 20th, the Taiwan People's Party nominated Chiu Chen-yuan, chairman of the Hsinchu City Party Headquarters, to run for mayor of Zhubei City. Chiu Chen-yuan said that he hopes to build a regional governance platform for Greater Hsinchu and make Zhubei the core engine for the development of Greater Hsinchu. He has also resigned from his position as deputy mayor of Hsinchu City. He believes that Zhubei City will become better because of him.
