Chincoteague announces increased security measures for Pony Swim
CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. – The town of Chincoteague has announced increased security measures at the Pony Swim after an online threat. Chincoteague Mayor Denise Bowden said there will be increased patrols for this year’s Pony Swim. In addition, patrons are not allowed to bring coolers, umbrellas, glass containers, bags or backpacks.
