ZW-Sail said today that it has completed tape-out of its first process verification Micro LED chip and will debut its solutions at the 19th AES Consumer Electronics Show in Dubai this December.
To address longstanding manufacturing hurdles, ZW-Sail aims to solve industrialization bottlenecks in Micro LED manufacturing as Micro-display chips underpin the AR glasses market with annual growth exceeding 100% and support Visible Light Communication and next-generation aerospace communications.
Using heterogeneous stacking and high-resolution maskless lithography, the company achieves sub-2-micron pixel design and employs a parallel three-color R&D mechanism plus array integration, claiming lowest heterogeneous bonding cost.
Claiming a brightness record, ZW-Sail says Micro LED's high brightness, low power and long lifespan position it to replace traditional display markets across multiple key sectors.
Led by an elite R&D team, ZW-Sail claims to have set records in less than a year, with potential applications in aerospace communications and smart automotive pixelated headlights, targeting high brightness and signal intensity.
