China presented, on Saturday (1), the world's first integrated drilling and detonation machine, developed to meet the challenges of building deep and long-range tunnels. The equipment officially emerged from the production line at the Jiangxia manufacturing base in Wuhan, Hubei province, and represents an attempt to overcome one of the main technological obstacles of major infrastructure works.
China has taken automation of residential building construction to a level that has no Western equivalent. China Construction Third Engineering Research Institute developed the first “Residential Building Machine” — an automated 270-ton construction platform that moves vertically as the building grows, and that can climb a full floor (3 meters high) in just 80 minutes, according to Interesting Engineering.
