China being investigated for funding pro-Palestine marches in UK, the Telegraph reveals
On Sunday, the United Kingdom's Home Office confirmed it began investigating claims that China funded anti-Israel events organized by Code Pink, examining potential foreign interference within Britain.
The investigation follows a U.S. probe into technology entrepreneur Neville Roy Singham, a figure accused of financing Chinese propaganda, who is married to Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans.
Congressional investigators are examining $338,000 in alleged payments from firms connected to Singham to a company associated with Code Pink, which The House Ways and Means Committee claims supports pro-communist causes.
Daniel Meron, Israel's Permanent Representative, described the hostility toward Israel as evidence that anti-Israel sentiment is not organic, while British MPs demand urgent use of the National Security Act.
Iain Duncan Smith warned that Britain must place China in the upper tier of the foreign influence registration scheme to protect the nation's democratic institutions from state-backed threats.
