China and Oman Call for Middle East Peace During Sultan’s State Visit to Beijing

China serves as Oman's largest trade partner, with direct flights between Beijing and Muscat since November last year boosting commerce; the leaders discussed renewable energy and a preferential bilateral trade agreement.
Beijing is coordinating with Arab nations, including the Gulf Cooperation Council, to restore stability amid the US-Israeli war on Iran, which has disrupted the Strait of Hormuz and driven up energy costs.
Xi, who noted the world is undergoing "profound changes unseen in a century," pledged to contribute "wisdom and solutions" to regional security dilemmas as China prepares to dispatch special envoys for de-escalation.
