Children who lost parents in fatal crash remain in hospital

Te Kuiti couple Andrew Francis Sheehan, 53, and Kreshar Dannielle Sheerhan, 37, were killed in a fatal crash at Waihola on Monday. Their children were taken to Dunedin Hospital in a critical condition. A third person, 63-year-old Whakatne accountant John Banbury, died on Tuesday. A spokesman for the family said the children remained in hospital and were "recovering from their injuries" The family went to Stewart Island for a holiday to celebrate Kreshr's birthday. The couple were "devoted parents and their family always came first"
