6 arrested in alleged stolen car chase in Chula Vista

On Thursday around 11 p.m., a police pursuit that began in National City involving a vehicle reported stolen ended in Chula Vista near San Miguel Ranch Road, resulting in the arrest of six people on Friday.
The National City Police Department was alerted to the allegedly stolen vehicle by a smart camera and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and continued onto southbound Interstate 5 and then east on State Routes 54 and 125.

The crash in East Oakland resulted in serious injuries to Perez, who had broken ribs, a fractured pelvis, and lacerations, and also injured a boy in the back of the passenger car who is now recovering from skull fracture surgery and a brain hemorrhage at Oakland UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.
In Pleasant Hill, four adult suspects were apprehended and arrested after allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven store at 601 Patterson Boulevard around 2:30 p.m. On Thursday, stealing multiple cartons of cigarettes from delivery trucks, and fleeing in a stolen vehicle that was later located on Highway 4 near Concord, leading to a pursuit supported by a police helicopter and multiple police departments.
