Chicken corn dogs recalled after wood found in batter
Foster Farms recalled nearly 3.9 million pounds of chicken corn dogs after five injury reports due to wood pieces found in the batter, USDA said.
- Foster Poultry Farms, LLC is recalling approximately 3,843,040 pounds of chicken corn dog products, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Oct. 4, 2025.
- The products were produced between July 30, 2024 and Aug. 4, 2025 and bear establishment number P-6137B on packaging.
- An FSIS investigation found corn dog batter contaminated with wood pieces after Foster Poultry Farms received multiple consumer complaints, five injuries included.
- Shipped to retail and institutional locations nationwide, including the Department of Defense and USDA Commodity Foods donations, FSIS urges consumers and institutions to discard or return affected products and consult healthcare providers if injured.
- FSIS will post a retail distribution list on its website and is conducting recall effectiveness checks; consumers can call Foster Farms Consumer Affairs at 1-800-338-8051 or the USDA Hotline at 888-MPHotline.
