Squirrel White Retires, Bears Announce the Signing of 2 Veterans, 2 Undrafted Rookies
The undrafted receiver retired after rookie minicamp, and Chicago added Scotty Miller and Kyron Hudson to the 90-man roster.
On Monday, the Chicago Bears placed undrafted rookie wide receiver Squirrel White on the reserve/retired list after he departed during the team's two-day rookie minicamp; the Bears retain his contract rights.
White, a 5-foot-9, 177-pound former Florida State Seminoles receiver, left practice with the team's training staff before the second workout after signing as an undrafted free agent last week.
Following White's departure, the Bears signed veteran receiver Scotty Miller and undrafted rookie Kyron Hudson from Penn State to their 90-man roster on Monday after both participated in rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.
Miller, a seven-season NFL veteran with 99 career receptions, and Hudson are competing for depth roles behind starters Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, and Kalif Raymond in the Bears' receiver room.
Head coach Ben Johnson remains focused on third-round pick Zavion Thomas, whose 4.2 40-yard dash speed and versatility position him as a key component of the 2026 offensive scheme.
