LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUG 4 – Denzel Perryman was released after felony firearms charges were dropped following a traffic stop that uncovered five guns, including two assault-style rifles, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said.
- On Friday night in South Los Angeles, Denzel Perryman was arrested after deputies found five firearms, including two assault-style rifles, and he was held without bail at the South LA Sheriff’s Station.
- Authorities initiated the stop for vehicle code violations during a routine traffic check at 9:30 p.m., LA County Sheriff’s deputies said.
- With a decorated career, Perryman has one Pro Bowl appearance in 10 NFL seasons, and Harbaugh said he was in good spirits during his weekend jail visit.
- Following the district attorney’s decision, Perryman was released from custody on Monday and will not face charges after DA Nathan Hockman declined to file them.
- Entering his 11th NFL season, Perryman can resume preparing for the 2025 season as the Chargers face the New Orleans Saints on August 10, 2025.
