Central Mass. woman killed in house fire remembered as ‘the heart of her family’

A woman who died after being rescued from a three-alarm house fire in Southbridge last week is being remembered for being a loving mother and grandmother. Elizabeth P. Haight died as a result of a fire that broke out at her home at 417 South St. on March 9, authorities said previously. Her death at a hospital the following day was just four days after her 69th birthday.
