Central Africa: BEAC should host funds for the rehabilitation of oil sites

Following discussions in Paris and Washington, the countries of the Cémac, the oil companies and the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) are close to an agreement on the repatriation of funds for the rehabilitation of oil sites. Currently housed in European banks, these reserves could be transferred to BEAC, despite the reluctance of oil tankers. This was announced on Wednesday 30 April at a press conference in Libreville.
