- On Tuesday, Macklin Celebrini scored a power-play goal in overtime to complete his second hat trick as the San Jose Sharks overcame a blown third-period lead to beat the Utah Mammoth 3-2.
- Late in the third, JJ Peterka scored twice to force overtime, including a tying goal with 2:51 to play when his shot slipped past Yaroslav Askarov.
- Early in the first period, Macklin Celebrini scored twice in the first six minutes, finishing a 1:47 passing sequence and adding a breakaway while Yaroslav Askarov made 24 saves for San Jose.
- San Jose now sits 9-8-3 overall and will host the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, while the Utah Mammoth have lost their last three overtime games and host Vegas Thursday.
- With season totals showing 13 goals and 17 assists, Macklin Celebrini joins Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby as the only teenagers to reach this points total in the first 20 games.
