The Philippine Coast Guard deployed an aircraft and a patrol vessel on Tuesday, May 19, to challenge a China Coast Guard ship found "drifting" roughly 48 nautical miles west of Pandaquit, Zambales.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has confirmed that a Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) vessel was spotted near the coast of Zambales. According to PCG Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea Rear Admiral Jay Tarriela, CCG Vessel 4305 was intercepted and driven away just 48 nautical miles from Pundaquit, Zambales.
