According to information released by ABC News and other American media, the Archdiocese of Chicago confirmed the complaint against the priest. He also notified the civil authorities, while the religious has been suspended from all his priestly duties.

The priest Ernesto "T", who served as parish priest of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, located in the Mexican colony in the municipality of Tampico, is investigated by the Archdiocese of Chicago after receiving a complaint for alleged abuse committed against a minor.
