Despite advances, lung cancer remains the most lethal cancer in the world. Now Catalonia is taking another step towards improving its prevention. From 2027, the Department of Health will offer lung cancer screenings to people over 60 who have smoked at least one pack a day for thirty years. Later, the measure will be extended to other population groups who could benefit from early diagnosis.
