For this modest-scale reform of a classic house in the suburb of Mill Valley, the residence was conceived not only as a shelter, but also as a bridge: from past to present; from one landscape condition to another; and what the family wanted for what they could have. Designed for a couple with two small children, the house seeks to meet the current needs of a young family and grow together with them.
