Cary looks to reduce food waste after Thanksgiving with composting initiative
The town of Cary is encouraging people to bring food scraps to the Citizen's Convenience Center at 313 North Dixon Ave. The town collects and composts unused food. Cary is also building a second drop-off site in 2024. In America, about 700 billion pounds of wasted food gets dumped each year.
