Carlsbad adopts policy denying payouts for golf-ball damage and injuries

Carlsbad City Council unanimously approved an ordinance stating the city will not voluntarily compensate people for golf-ball damage or injuries at its municipal course absent legal liability. New signs will urge golfers to accept responsibility for errant shots. Council also approved airport runway, wildfire vehicle and emergency medical services contracts and canceled its November and December meetings.
