- Beltrán's career totals show 435 home runs and 1,587 RBIs over 20 seasons, while his candidacy drew scrutiny as he was the lone Astros player named in MLB's 2017 sign-stealing report; Jones's defensive résumé includes 10 Gold Gloves and five All-Star selections.
- Making his fourth ballot appearance, Beltrán rose from 46.5% in 2023 to 70.3% in 2025 before election; Jones reached election in his ninth appearance after rising from 7.3% to majority support under BBWAA rules requiring 75%.
- They will be inducted at Cooperstown, New York, on July 26, joining Jeff Kent and ending a center fielders drought since 1981.
- Combined they hit 869 home runs, with Beltrán at 435 and Jones 434; Beltrán could earn a Mets cap plaque, while Jones’s defensive awards highlight center field as a demanding position.
