- Investigators with the Guns and Gangs Unit concluded an investigation on July 17 into drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession. A search of a Pickering residence uncovered over 3 kg of fentanyl and stolen weapons.
- Adams' lawyer, Adam Weisberg, wrote "Isaiah is completely innocent in this matter — he had no knowledge of any firearm, and he will be fully exonerated." His 27-year-old sister, Allyson Mae Adams, faces identical charges.
- The Cardinals organization stated, "Out of respect for the process, we will refrain from commenting further at this time." Adams has returned to Arizona and is expected to report to training camp on Wednesday.
- Adams faces a September 1 court appearance, scheduled three days after the Cardinals' final preseason game. The third-year player remains in contention for a starting role on the offensive line despite the legal proceedings.
