BET added the Fashion Vanguard and Pulse awards as Cardi B and Kendrick Lamar lead a field that includes multiple nominees across music, film and digital media.
- Cardi leads the 2026 BET Awards nominations with six nods, while Kendrick Lamar follows closely with five. The ceremony will air live on Sunday, June 28, from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
- Following her successful Little Miss Drama Tour, which grossed $70 million across 35 North American arena dates, Cardi continues an exceptionally strong 2026. The tour became the highest-grossing debut arena tour by a female rapper in history.
- The Bronx rapper earned nods for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and the newly introduced Fashion Vanguard Award. Lamar secured nominations for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Collaboration for "Chains & Whips" alongside the Clipse.
- BET will introduce the Pulse Award to honor creators who moved Black culture forward in digital spaces by sparking conversation and building community. Nominees include Druski, Charlamagne Tha God, and Don Lemon.
- The BET Awards will air live on Sunday, June 28, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Comedian Druski makes his hosting debut for the ceremony.
