Canada’s Wonderland makes chaperone policy permanent after ‘unruly’ behaviour last fall
The park said one chaperone may supervise up to 10 guests 15 and under as it cites past unruly behavior.
Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ont., will require all guests 15 and younger to be accompanied by a chaperone aged 21 or older starting May 1 to maintain a safe environment.
Park officials cited "unruly" behavior observed at other entertainment venues, following a temporary chaperone policy implemented during last fall's Halloween Haunt event.
Starting at 4 p.m. daily, one chaperone may supervise up to 10 young guests and must present a valid government-issued photo ID upon entry.
The requirement applies to all guests, including Season Pass and Membership holders; those failing to comply with the Code of Conduct face removal from the park.
Opening to Season Pass holders on May 1, the park welcomes the general public on May 3 as the Vaughan, Ont., facility prepares for the upcoming season.
