Elections Canada announced that nearly 2 million voters cast their ballots on the first day of early voting last Friday (April 18), setting a record for the highest number of voters in a single day in the history of early voting. The federal Liberal Party and the New Democratic Party both announced their respective election manifestos last Saturday (April 19).
