After the snow at the start of the year, snowmen were built in many places in the north. However, a snowman in a winter sports region is all in the shadows.

Around 30 people build an XXL snowman in the Harz. 11,50 meters tall is the figure decorated with a cylinder. This makes it "Northern Germany's largest snowman", explains the builders.
300 cubic meters of snow were needed to build the 11.50 meter figure. The scarf alone is 15 meters long.
Hahnenklee (dpa) – An 11.50-meter-high giant snowman was built by the operators of a campsite in Oberharz – from about 300 cubic meters of snow.
