- Jorge Mendoza Diaz, age 34, allegedly smashed a window to enter the home early that Friday morning before 6 a.m.
- The girl was upstairs using her cell phone while her father confronted Diaz in the kitchen, and police arrived quickly.
- During the 911 call, the girl stated, "Someone is in my house," and in response to a question, "They broke the window."
- Diaz was arrested, and Chief Lenyi commended the girl's bravery, even inviting her to join the WPD when she grows up.
