Cries for help from a forest kept police busy over Christmas in Landeck, Tyrol. After two unsuccessful searches on Christmas Day for a possibly missing person, a 43-year-old German man's suitcase was found on Boxing Day. The man had already left for his home country. He had become lost in difficult terrain, called for help, and spent the night outdoors, leaving the suitcase behind.
On Thursday, several people had already reported to the Landecker police that they had heard calls for help in the area of Angedair/Öd around 1 o'clock at night.
A 43-year-old started an hour-long search in Landeck after he had lost his way in the rough terrain of the Thial-Tobel. Police, mountain rescue and helicopters were in operation, which was reported by the LPD Tirol.
