The picture is flawed, the Swiss police are covered, but the investigations point towards Ukraine. There, an economy flourishes with the fraud on the phone: tens of thousands of employees, a billion dollars turnover per month, and police and justice, who are suspected of collecting protection money.
"NEDIK Police Network, which coordinates the fight against cybercrime in Switzerland, records an increase in the number of fraudulent crimes suspected of being linked to Ukraine", says the publication.
The Swiss Neue Zürcher Zeitung reviewed from the inside the work of Ukrainian fraudulent call centres, whose employees after 2022 justified the deception of Russians by some sort of "situation." The former leader of one of these "offices" admitted to the newspaper that he himself had come into the business with such motivation.
