California lawmakers approve key changes to landmark mental health law

Summary by Ground News
The bill was approved by state lawmakers on Thursday, the last day of this year's legislative session. The bill would phase in the wage increase for hospitals, nursing homes, and other medical and psychiatric services providers. It would boost hourly wages at community clinics to at least $21 in 2024, $22 in 2026, and $25 in 2027. But the bill allows health care facilities to apply for a temporary pause or slower.
