It appears many Calgarians were caught off guard by a sudden and heavy spring snowstorm that blanketed the city during the busy Wednesday morning rush hour.

City of Calgary traffic reports show several other collisions and road closures throughout the city, with most of the north being labelled as “slow” and “stop and go” traffic conditions. CPS is advising motorists to avoid travel and advising of delays across the city. From midnight to noon, CPS reported 159 collisions, 27 of which resulted in injuries.
