Sergio Perez was fined a total of €1,700 by Cadillac for two pit lane speed violations in just 13 minutes during the first free practice session (FP1) of the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix. Perez had a hectic start at the inaugural Madring circuit, but he subsequently collected data, including long runs. He outperformed his teammate Valtteri Bottas in both FP1 and FP2, showing promise for the first day of practice.
