Byohm appoints Dr Graham Cooley as chairman
Dr Graham Cooley brings 35 years of energy-sector experience as Byohm seeks to move its wastewater platform from pilots to commercial rollout.
Byohm, the trading name of Wastewater Fuels Limited, appointed Graham Cooley as Chairman to accelerate commercial deployment of its wastewater-to-fuel technology.
Cooley joins Byohm with more than 35 years of energy sector experience, having raised over £650 million in funding for cleantech ventures including ITM Power.
The new Chairman holds a PhD and an MBA, maintaining fellowships with the Energy Institute while serving as a non-executive director of Cadent Gas.
CEO Martyn Lathbury stated Cooley's experience in scaling complex technologies will be "invaluable" as Byohm aims to enhance anaerobic digestion toward higher-value biomethane.
Cooley believes biomethane will play a vital role alongside hydrogen in delivering net zero, viewing Byohm's bio-electrochemical platform as critical for decarbonising infrastructure.
