- On Friday, former first lady Bushra Bibi returned to Adiala Jail after undergoing eye surgery at a Rawalpindi hospital, following an overnight stay, according to jail authorities.
- Prison administrators arranged specialist examination after Bushra reported impaired vision in her right eye; diagnosed with retinal detachment, she underwent surgery performed by Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi and a medical panel.
- Demanding immediate family access, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan asserted that medical care and visits are a "basic right" for the incarcerated couple. Relatives were subsequently permitted to meet Bushra at the prison.
- Imran Khan, former prime minister, remains imprisoned at Adiala since August 2023, serving a 17-year sentence in the Toshakhana-II case alongside his wife. Authorities maintain a meeting ban in effect since December 2025.
- Post-Operative care will continue according to medical advice as the couple faces scrutiny over detention conditions. A United Nations expert previously warned their custody could "pose a serious risk to her physical and mental integrity.
