The Senate adopted an amendment by the government, which partially offsets the reduction in compensation for sick leave for pregnant women in the public service, a measure which is still insufficient for trade unions and which still needs to be definitively approved by Parliament.
The measure would undoubtedly have been welcomed by the Secretary General of the CFDT Public Service, Mylène Jacquot, who died brutally on Friday 12 December at the age of 60. Faithful among other things to the defence of the rights of women civil servants, she would certainly have considered it insufficient.
