An entire apartment building on Ringveien in Salhus in Brønnøysund has been lost in a fire, but all residents have been accounted for. Several of them had to jump from the second floor.
Four people jumped from the second floor to escape a house fire in Brønnøy last night, police said. None of the four apartments in the building can be saved. A total of seven people have been evacuated, and three have been sent to the emergency room after inhaling smoke. Strong winds are making extinguishing the fire difficult, according to police operations manager Thomas Jarnæs Coe.
