Brits typically fall into one of six learning personalities
The survey found 58% would use AI tools that adapt explanations to their needs, while 62% say they learn something new at least once a week.
Samsung's survey of 2,000 UK adults identified six distinct learning personalities: 'Note Taker' , 'The Visualiser' , 'Sense-Maker' , 'The Highlighter' , 'Last-Minute Learners' , and 'Quizzer' .
The study was commissioned by Samsung to celebrate Gemini Notebook on the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Annika Bizon from Samsung said the findings show there is 'no one-size-fits-all approach' to learning.
Three quarters of respondents agreed visual aids are important for understanding new concepts, with 17% considering them essential. Meanwhile, 85% experiment with different methods, though 28% still rely on school-era techniques.
Interest in AI-driven learning tools remains strong, with 58% of adults willing to use tools adapting explanations to their struggles. One in 10 learners would also find it useful to turn notes into quiz questions.
Lifelong learning remains constant, with 62% of adults picking up new skills weekly. Just under half have changed learning preferences over time, underscoring why adaptive technology remains essential as cognitive habits evolve.
