British Gas is giving some customers half price electricity when it's windy

- Tomorrow, PeakSave customers can access half-price electricity during a Green Flex two-hour window from 11:00 am to 13:00 pm, according to British Gas.
- PeakSave Green Flex events allow half-price electricity during two-hour windows when renewable energy is high, and British Gas uses forecasting to schedule these events and test grid impact.
- Eligible customers will be emailed to opt in and new and existing PeakSave customers can join; British Gas has installed over 1.2 million smart meters this year and around 1.5 million customers use smart tariffs.
- The Green Flex events sit alongside PeakSave's regular Sundays, with British Gas paying over £30 million to more than 1.2 million customers, reflecting the scheme's scale.
